About some weeks ago, I wanted to get some photo's off my digital camera. I plugged it into USB and got the first photo's of the memory disk. I inserted the second and wanted to download thoes photos too, but aperantly, it overloaded and restarted the pc, and I smelled some kind of a burning smell.
After the reboot, my usb mouse did not work anymore neither my printer or my camera would connect!

Now my question is, did I really burn the usb, or what?

    Thanks already!! ;)

Thare are normaly fuses on the USB PCB but when thay go i dont think thay make a buring smell...dosent sound good...eather way ( burnt fuses or burnt USB ) youl prolly need to get a new USB controller ( inless you dont mind soldering over blown fuses :D ).......

I got this firewire controler, that takes 1 pci bus, but there is also a usb port, but that one does not work too, I don't know if it's a controler either, just it takes a pci bus, I got it already installed when I bought the system!!
(and it does not connect to the motherboard, only pci)
