Usb Port Periodically Stops Working?

    Hello Everyone, my hp pro book laptop usb port stops working sometimes, I blow out the usb port hole with compressed air and it starts working for a few days, then i have to repeat it. Any Idea's at to what else i can do. It works just fine after each clean out> Thanks

    Will see if Walmart is open and get some, Although i cannot understand how it can get dirty in there with the usb plug always in it! Thanks.

    Do you have only one USB port?
    What USB plug is in the port all the time?
    What is the exact model of HP Probook?

    HP PRO BOOK MODEL 6560B all the ports are working the port for the usb keyboard is the one plugged in all the time and maybe once a week or so i have to pull usb plug out and hit the hole with compressed air.

    And how many is "all"? Have you tried plugging the keyboard into a different port?

    Are you still running Windows 7 or have you upgraded to 10?
    Since it is from 2011, I'm having trouble finding specs. A lot of the search results are eBay listings for it on sale.
