I have a Lenovo Thinkpad L440, running windows 10. I bought it rebuilt. I've had it about 3 months and it works fine. Just yesterday the USB ports stopped working. Going into Device Manager/Universal Serial Bus Controllers I find the following warning at USB Mass Storage Device:

Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware because a previous instance of the device driver is still in memory. (Code 38)

and : The driver could not be loaded because a previous version of the driver is still in memory.
Under Events:1/5/2019 9:14:17 Device not migrated. Also: Device USB\VID_0781&PID_5575\200548574319010125C9 was not migrated due to partial or ambiguous match.

What does all this mean and what do I do about it?
