usb ports not working mouse freezes

ok, this is the rundown: some time back i disconnected a digital camera without properly and safely stopping/ejecting the device. now my front 2 usb ports do not work at all. the back 2 work, but only with one digital camera and my printers. if i connect anything else to them like my mp3 player or flash drives or my digital camcorder the cursor freezes and the computer freezes. i have to manually shut the computer down and manually disconnect the devices. so i want at least on usb port that i can use to connect these things so i can use them once again. is there anything i can do or any quick fix free software i can use?

 

Try updating the drivers for your devices. You can probably find them on the manufactuor's website. Here is an article about your topic.

I also reccomend you get all the latest windows updates if you have not.
