    Hi

What Windows version are you using?
What is your PC make and Model if from say Dell, HP etc or if a home build what is the motherboard make and model, can find this info from the below quoted guide)

Check in Device Manager for any yellow ! marks and if any please mention them.

Have you installed any new software or drivers before this happend if so what?

Reboot and try safe mode (F8 at boot) and do they work now?

I am using windows xp motherboard is a Biostar k-7 w/ onboardc media sound and graphics chip.I down loaded something from Garmin so their sight could communicate with my G P S.When I check hardware,it shows all the usb hubs, and it tells me they are all working properly with no conflicts.

    Hi

Wont need the log now as you have provided your motherboards make and model, thats all I was after for info.

Have you tried/checked the other things I mentioned?

SO this was just after a download from Garmin the USB ports failed? if so then uninstall the Garmin software and test your USB ports, then if they are working re-install your Garmin software.

I uninstalled two items that I had download from Garmin and my usb ports are now working. There must have been something wrong with the downloads.Guess I will have to contact them and find out whats up.Thanks for the help.Have a Happy New Year.

    Hi Rocky

Good stuff on finding the cause and your USB ports now working, yes give them an email and also if they have a support area check that out too for this issue, but a quick look it maybe a new issue if the updates a new one.
