I just started a new job, and unfortunately, they won't let me bring in my own pc, like the last place.
I tried to bring in some drawing files from home, using my jump drive.
I put it in the USB, it recognized and installed it, and finished with the message that it was ready to use.
When I went to "my computer", the drive isn't shown as being available.
What do I need to do in order to get the files off of my jump drive?
Thanks so much for your help.

    Tried rebooting the machine?

(also its common security practice not to allow people to bring in their own machines)

The machine is shut off nightly and started in the morning.

Do a google for gmail storage and you'll find a program that will allow you to store files in your gmail account. Then email the files to gmail from your home computer. At work, open your gmail account and download the files. Because your office has security, the files will be scanned before you download them to the work computer to determine that they are free of virii.

go to admin tools and disk management and see if it is there and change the drive letter assigned. sometimes it tries to use a drive letter that is in use and you never will see it until you change that.
