I have updated drivers through the device manager in windows for my USB ports, and it now says they are functioning, but nothing will work in them. An MP3 player and a printer are what I have tried, neither are recognized by programs or driver instals (for the printer). Any help would be greatly apreciated as I scarcly know what I am doing. If you need any more information on my problem, please ask. Thank you very much in advance.

if you goto the device manager and right click on your computers name and scan for hardware changes(make sure they are connected of course) ... do they appear?

also what printer and mp3 player and operating system? does your computer meet the minimum specifications?

if your USB port drivers are messed up you might want to do a repair install of windows XP(if that's your OS)

In device manager, they have all been updated, I tried that first, though no updates can be found for Ethernet Controler and SM Bus Controler, though I dont think those would affect it.

I meet all system requirments for the Nomad Jukebox2 and the Lexmark Z705 printer. I have tried another lesser MP3 player and it did not work either.

My OS is windows XP, but whats a repair install?
