USB problems!!!!

long story short... the other week i bought a transcend 128mb flash drive... all was well until one day it just stopped working. everytime i plug it in now i get blue screens of death and my computer craps itself. any ideas how to fix this? i have reinstalled the driver and still no luck.

Did you boot into safe mode and uninstall the driver yet?
If not try that .. hit f8 at boot.. rt clk My Comp. get into device manager & remove drivers. and reboot.
(most cases) install the drivers then plug the device back in.

If it continues try removing the usb 'hub' drivers all together in safe mode.. let windows reinstall them then reinstall the device.

 

i ahve exactly th same problem... works on everyone elses computer but not mine sooo anoying....il be watching this thread closely to find an answer

 

yeh i tried everything... im running xp home edition so the drivers shud already be there.... also ive had it working before perfectly no probs but suddenly it went wrong

 

nope, none of that worked!!!! i don't really feel like reformatting my hard drive... are there any other options/ideas?????
