usb speed problem

    i have a Gigabyte GA-M52L-S3P v1 motherboard.

    the spec says that i have 8x 1.1/2.0 usb ports. but when i plug in my bluetooth dongle that is supported by 2.0 it only runs on 1.1.

    i found this out when i ran everest. does anyone know how to get my bluetooth dongle to run on usb 2.0?

    some of your PC usb ports might only be 1.1 try the other ports or check your mobo manual

    It wouldn't hurt to go to the bluetooth dongle mfr's. web site to be sure you have the latest drivers for it (Windows Update doesn't always catch them).

    If applicable, be sure you have the correct driver for your version of Windows (incl. 32 or 64-bit). If it's an older unit that doesn't have current driver support for your OS, it might be worth investing in a new one.
