USB transfer from laptop

    Can a USB cable be used to transfer data from a laptop to a desktop? The file is very large and the laptop won't burn a DVD.

    Just curious how big is the file? If it is only a few gigs you might want to use a file splitting software and burn a few CDs then recombine the parts on the desktop PC.
