USB trouble with XP load

I loaded XP pro over 98SE and now I can't get it to reconize my FlashDrive or external Hard Drives.

XP pro runs good, but I can't use my USB port.

What drivers have you installed? Sorry, I think I confrused myself. I was thinking of the USB 2 ports, which only work after service pack 2 on XP.

Shouldn't hurt to reinstall the mobo and chipset drivers.

I am not shure I understand mother board and chipset drivers.

Where would I find them?

I am working on a old notebook that had Windows 98SE installed on it before I installed XPpro.

Can you post the model number and all that info on the laptop? We can look for your drivers then.

Yikes! Win98. Been a while since I saw that! But don't worry. We most likely can get you hooked up.:-D
