I have a CA810E motherboard that has an USB version 1.1 . I went to intel to look for an upgrade but they did not include ones compatable with Windows XP. Anyone know where I can get it? I could just purchase an USB PCI card but I would like to try and upgrade the ones on the board.

It won't be possible to upgrade USB 1.1 hardware to 2.0 functionality.

My advice??? Buy a PCI USB 2.0 card. You'll get a working USB 2.0. Trying to cobble a set of new IC's onto your mother board, while possible, has many unforseen complications. :)

Thanks all.....I didn't think it was possible but gave it a shot. I see alot of the USB 2.0 w/ Firewire, what is the difference between that and just an USB 2.0?
