    Hi all,

I'm Patrick and I'm from VA. I have a problem. I have been using DriverMax to update my drivers. All was well untill I updated the usb. Now my usb won't work at all. I Have a HP Pavillion 526x running windows sp1. I hate to ask a question on my first post, however I followed the cleaning xp post and it got rid of 10 trojans. Thank all of you.

Go to Control Panel > System > Hardware > Device Manager > Universal Serial Bus Controllers

Make a system restore point and call it "usb roll back"

Then, one at a time, right click the properties of each "universal host controller" then select the driver tab and then "roll back driver", do the same for the "usb root hub" lines and when all are done then and only then reboot the computer.

I would tell you just to do a system restore to before you installed the new usb, and you should do that, as long as restoring doesn't bring back your trojans.

Thank you very much. I did a system restore and re-did the malware guide. Everything is running smoothly.:)
