I'm trying to get my lexmark printer scanner running but, according to my computer, I need to have a copy of 'usbscan.sys'. It isn't on my Win xp home I've looked in the knowledge base @ Microsoft, but have had no luck. Any one know where I can find it and hopefully download it? Thanks..

If you are unzipping to the C:\windows\system32\drivers folder you will get that message as its the default windows file protection saying are you sure you want to do this, to use that file you will have to say yes.

I'm kind of suprised that the driver for the scanner wasnt installed as part of the drivers for your multifunction printer/scanner.

If you do a search of your PC you will find that you already had that file, but its compressed in a .CAB file in the /i386 folder ( may need to use advanced search option as that shows hidden and system files )
