Use removed laptop LCD?

Can I remove a laptop LCD screen and use it for something else? What I mean is are there jacks that I can use to make it have a regular DVI(i think it's DVI. the blue regular monitor connector) connection? I'm not wanting to use it for my desktop. It's an idea I have. Just wondering if it's possible to use it if i take it out of the casing. Thanks. Goggling "Making LCD Projectors" will give you plenty of guides and something I intend to do one day, especially as I picked up an LCD for $22AUD 2 days ago.

I'm not sure about the connectors in your case.
