User account problems!!

Recently I have been denied access to almost everything, saying I dont have permission or something... rolleyes:


an account for someone who no longer uses this pc shows up when I start up my puter, as well as mine... We both were set up as administrators. So when I try to do anything,


First it will come up with a box that says

run as

which user account do you want to use to run this program?
then it says current user, me, with a check in the circle.

or I can uncheck and select administrator, and it asks me for a password.

I HAVE AN ADMINISTRATOR ACCOUNT!

But it wont let me access anything, not even the user accounts place. When I go there I get this white blank window.

SO, I tried the safemode thing and did run and typed control userpasswords and the weird part is that the person who doesnt use the pc any more... (the one who also has an administrator acct, and shows up in normal boot) ISNT THERE!! So, I cant even delete it because it doesnt show up there!

I cant do anything right now and I need help!!! Please!!

 

When more than one user is set up as an admin only one admin is allowed full access/control you have been set up as an admin with limits access.

Try logging on with the other admins name you will have to get her password when you get in as the other person go to control panel - user accounts and change that users name and password. If there is noway to get that user password there is software available just for that purpose - search this site for those threads

 

Is this a work computer, or is this a personal computer?

 

it's at home... It's really weird because when the run as boc comes up, and I click the drop down box, one of the names is an old name on the acct that was changed some time ago, and the new name doesnt even come up on the list.
