Users, pain in the ass...

Greetings,

I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me lock down the dun creation on my pc. Certain people have a habbit of downloading and running Porn Dialers and my phoine bill is suffering for it. I'd like to disable DUN creation for everyone except the admin account. Is this possible?

I don't know what kind of system you're running, but many of
them have " parental" controls that you can set, to stop kids,
or even adults, from getting to porn sites, thru various means.
perhaps you might want to look into it. We had to do it for our pc's
due to children, and there is a pretty decent filter out there
thru, American Family Filter, that stops most of that. If you're wanting
to leave it open though, I guess you have to use the password.
I'm not a moderator, admin, or anyone, just somebody with a thought.
Been through it, and it's a mess getting that stuff off your pc, or worse
yet, getting infected because of somebody surfin in unsafe territory.

Setting IE's security settings will not do anything to prevent setting up Dial-up connection.
If you have a XP OS, settup additional users as low level users, not granting them any setup access. Also password protect your user ID, so that they can not log in as yourself.
