Sorry if this is wrong forum - couldn't seem to find one that fit it.

    I've got this Vac- http://www.walmart.com/ip/Shop-Vac-...9-02-36-2.-5-Gallon-2-HP-Wet-Dry-Vac/28147007

    It has a blower attachment.

Would it be safe to clean the interior of case?

I'm just tired of the compressed air purchases and am looking for an alternative.

I was talking to a rep at Microcenter and he uses the DataVac, and mine seems just as good.

I would be sure to hold the blades of fans while using it.

    Any advice appreciated.

They probably have the same suction but there is another consideration. The Datavac has electrostatic discharge safe hoses and attachments, which keep protect against them building up static electricity due to the dust flowing in them, unlike your shop vac.

    Thanks for reply.

I read that plug-in vacs can cause problems with static discharge.

Have you ever had that problem?

This would be using the blower only.

Tjet - ignore my previous post.

I realized you have to use an air compressor.:-o

I used the vac on an old comp that I really didn't care if I hurt.

It worked great, just using the blower and of course grounding myself.

The only mistake I made was doing it in the house and 2 years worth of dust went everywhere!!:-D

    Thanks again for your input.

I also went to your link at Amazon and a reviewer said it was cheaper at Walmart.

Went there and got it for $9.81 and they had a promo for a $10.00 gift card, so it worked out to be free!:-D

    Can't do better than that.
