Help, I am so new at this digital camera stuff. Have a Kodak EasyShareCX7430. Bought a jumpdrive. Was told I didn't need to download the Kodak CD as it was not necessary. Question is" how do i get my pictures on to the computer using this jump drive? I put the card in the jump drive and then plugged into computer. But nothing happened. I am such a greenhorn at this stuff! I need step by step instructions! I have asked two people and was told what to do, and I have done it but nothing happens. A new icon appeared on the right hand bottom of computer, and when I clicked on it and said "safely remove hardware". So I put card back in camera and checked to see if I screwed up anything and I still had my pictures, heck I have no idea what I am doing. Definitely need someone who knows what they are doing! Thanks :( :)

Windows sees the jump drive the same as it sees your hard drives and CD-Rom drives. Plug in the jump drive. Click on the My Computer icon in your start menu or desktop. The jump drive will be displayed with all the other drives as a removeable drive, which you can click on to open. You can then drag and drop or cut\copy and paste the files where ever you want. When you are done, click on the Safely Remove Hardware icon to disconnect the jump drive from Windows before unplugging it.

Man, I am getting frusterated! Ok, I did what you said, and still nothing happens. What am I doing wrong, or better yet, what am I not doing right? I feel like just tossing everything out the dang window, but to much snow would come in! LOL Oh my God! I just did it! I kept going back and reading your instructions and I finally got it! Thank you so much! :)

The icons pops up in the taskbar. I've never had any problems just unpluggin the USB device, but I'd go ahead and turn it off through the icon first just to be safe.
