using bandwith?

I have internet connection that works 2 ways
thru the Ethernet cords off the modem
wireless frm the modem to devices

If I have 2 Ethernet cords plugged into the modem, would that slow down the wireless connection?
or any variation of that?

I dont run any cray-1 type games, just wondering how to keep my internet speed fast as possible

I realized I was fooled
I ran a speed test and found my internet speed was ~4.8-5.5MBPS
I thought that was low after reading

so I didnt feel so bad....I don't really notice a "slow connection", I stream netflix not so bad, I update facebook easily...I might get Google Fiber next year(cheaper than current cable+internet) but what do you do with 49mbps when you are used to ~5.5?(9x faster)
A faster internet means what would I be able to do then, that I can't do now?

 

Faster Internet speeds, allow for faster downloading of streaming programs, updates to your computer, less lag while playing games, better video while doing a Google Hangout.

The question is that you stated you had slow speeds. So who is your provider then? You cannot go by the info that you find on the web. The problem with Google Fiber in an area. Is that it is going to skew any info on an area.
