Hi and thanks for your time,
Firstly I have 3 drives as the HDD has been partitioned. These are C,D and E.
    C Drive = windows 98
    D Drive= windows XP sp3
E Drive=storage of files, music etc
I am trying to run an old dos program on Win XP sp3.
old dos program is installed on Win 98
I used to be able to click on dos box 0.74 in win XP and the program would automatically load however to get out of the program I would hit cntrl f 9 and it would go back to win XP
I recently had to reload win XP due to a virus and now everything else works just fine.
I know I can mount C: and then type the program and it will load. This is not the way I used to do it though. I used to be able to click on dos box 0.74 in win XP and the program would automatically load
Is there any way I can get this working like the way I had it before. Unfortunately my friend who set it up before is no longer here to do it for me. Please help.

    Try this:

It sounds like you have lost/need to change the file "DOSBox 0.74 Options.bat" I think it's called (I have a suspicion it might be called "dosbox-0.74.conf ??). At the end of that file I have the instructions
    Code:
    mount c c:\temp\simcty2k
    c:
    sc2000
which mount the volume, change to directory where dosbox can find the (default) program to run at starting DOSBox, my case, SimCity or sc2000.exe.

(I am using Windows 7 to run this program; can't remember which OS SC2000 was designed for, couldn't get it to run just plain old SimCity)

Only a suggestion, mind. I recommend keeping a track of all the changes you make to batch file so you can get back to one that worked :) )
