   ok i already know how to do this and it worked fine a few days ago but now i can't get any of the resolution to fit on the screen. I check my tv settings and there is nothing on there i can do to fix it. I'm using an HP Elitebook 8730w with windows vista business 64 bit thanks in advance.

   Hi. What make and model of TV are you using? You should start there since, just like computer monitors, they will most likely let you know what the optimal or maximum resolution is.
