I am currently using Mozilla Firefox as my default browser, and I love it.

I have some site that will unfortunately work with only IE, and since Firefox is set as mu default browser it will not open correctly.

I was wondering if and how can I create a short-cut [desktop or quick-links] to that site so that it would open in IE.

    Thanks!

Your best bet is to just put IE into your Quicklaunch (if you have 2k or xp) and then bookmark the website you need into the Internet Explorer favorites. Right now Firefox is set as the default browser, so if you put a shortcut to a webpage on your desktop, it will open in Firefox.

If IE is in Quicklaunch, you can open it while you are using Firefox without minimizing, etc.

You also could do it the short-cut way, and create a bat file with the following line

start iexplore http://www.majorgeeks.com (or the web address of your choosing).

click it and ie will open to whaterver the webaddress you have given it.

Im not sure if Firefox has the equivilent, but Opera has a "Open in IE" plugin, that when you right click a link or bookmark it gives the option of opening it in IE. Im sure Firefox has a similar plugin somewhere?
