Using the <object> element and sounds

Okay, here is the thing.
I understand that the commands vary by browser.

IE uses bgsound src
NS and others like embed src
I understand that IE and FF and Opera and NS and about all others like the object element.
My IE and FF seems to ignore the object element. At least when I do....

Neither my IE or Netscape will play it.

but doing this works in my IE and NS....

but not in my FF or Opera.
