Utility To Create List Of Files To Download

I work for a non-profit organization. We have a website that contains a password protected link for members of the board of directors to download material for meetings.

Is there software that can generate a html list of links for download from files contained within a folder?

 

It would seem that would bypass the need for a password? Need more of an explanation. So when they log in via password, there are no links for them to click on? You want to generate that page?

 

Sorry if I was not clear. In the password protected area there is a link to a page where meeting material can be downloaded. This is done now by manually creating a page that contains a list off links for all of the material needed for a meeting. A new page is created for each meeting, so there is a historical record of material used.

 

Open Firefox, copy and paste the path to the folder of files you want to create links to in the address bar. Firefox will generate a page of hyperlinks to those files, then go to File and Save Page As..
Then open that HTML page and edit the HREF from href="file:/// to the location (directory) on the web server. Should be easy with a good text editor to do a find & replace.

 

Thank you. That works fine. When the list of files is long it will save time, but for only a few files I think it would not be worth all the steps.
