Utorrent or Bitorrent which is best ?

I'm thinking about downloading Utorrent or Bitorrent. People tell me its great to have so I'm exploring. My question is : Which is best and uses less resources [less bloatware too ]? I'm scared to download something on my pc that I am not sure of. Is it dangerous to have these programs? I'm hearing horror stories about trojans and other malwares and viruses that sneak in your PC even though you have all the appropriate software to protect your PC.

Your input is greatly appreciated.

Both programs are fine, it's just what you download with them that may be questionable and may require a visit with the malware folks. I use utorrent to download Linux stuff. Be very careful.

 

uTorrent is 282kb. It's the opposite of bloatware. I havent tried Bitorrent in years. Bitorrent and uTorrent have merged btw.

 

Is there a site where one can download an earlier version of uTorrent before it merged with BitTorrent? :confused
