I am starting to run out of ideas here, so I am hoping somebody here can help me out. I have a program running in the background called V9Do4QyhP.exe running in the background of Windows XP. HijackThis is saying the program is running out of the Windows Temp directory, that is the first thing that made me suspicious. Whenever I do a search on google for it, it comes up with nothing, that is the second thing. I am really not sure if this is spyware, a virus, or a normal system process, that is why I do not want to delete it just yet. Anybody else that has had this program on their machine? I am starting to believe I am the only one in the world that is infected with this. None of the virus scanners or Spyware detectors have picked it up, and Pestpatrol says it is ok. I am still not convinced. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Get CCleaner, clean your temporary internet files out. Theres nothing there that you should *need*. If it comes back, theres another problem we can work on, possibly a hijack. If you hit ctrl alt delete, you can stop it from running and see what happens as well if you want to try it. Check your startup for an entry thats executing it. You can do that by going to start, run, then type msconfig and hit enter.

Chaslang, that fixed it man, thanks. That had really been bothering me for awhile now. I am going to install the stuff from that thread you gave me that I don't already have. I wish Microsoft would come out with another patch soon because whenever I run Spybot I always have another DSO Exploit. I will look around on here for a virus scanner, AVG just isn't doing it for me. Thanks again.

If you are up to date with your Microsoft Critical updates, ignore the message from SpyBot on DSO Exploit (you can also provision it to be ignored). It is a well know problem with SpyBot.
