My husband and I want to get away for a week at Christmas time...We would like to go somewhere in North America, not hot but not cold either...Does anybody have any suggestions? We were thinking of Vegas, I've never been there, so I thought that might be fun

I spent the majority of my Christmass in Southern California. I am looking forward to some cold weather. It just doesn't feel like Christmas when it's 75 degrees outside

I had a Cousin who moved here from Ca with his wife
she's like "o snow, its so pretty!!"
Well they got divorced about 2 mo later and she moved back to CA

A good choice to Vacation would be somewhere less "turisty"(sp) and that's not Vegas. . .would be fun for sure though

it all depends on how far north(not cold, of course)

but mostly what are you looking for?
    excitment?
    Romance?
    both?
or just something differant? where are you now?

All of the above :). With my work, its been about a year and half since I took any more than 2 days off in a row.
Right now we are about 2 hours north of Couer d'Alene ID, just inside the Canadian border
My biggest concern is that we have no (or little) snow...I see enough of that now, and it ties you down when sight seeing...

If you plan on driving Vagas is close
CA also pretty close (and there's a beach)
San Fransico CA is pretty and Romantic(the right parts of it)
and if you walk into the wrong bar, that could get exciting. .lol
    j/k

the long winding roads the flowers. .beautiful
    if you plan to fly
    I always enjoyed SC.

It's on the other side of the US
and it is rainy this time of year
But I don't enjoy crowded places

My wife and I have rented cabins,
but you wanted something how much differant

Thanks guys for all of your help...I'm going to check into New Orleans, and by SC, I assume you mean South Carolina? That picture looks really nice...
I think SC might be a better getaway for us...Less people
