VaioRX650 needs advice for specific vidcard upgrade

I usually dont post questons on forums. But I do have a month before deciding which video card would work best with my Vaio PCV-RX650 desktop.

Does anyone know of a card (price limit$400) that would most likely have less problems and decent performance. I dont plan on upgrading anything else for the next year. I like to overclock but i'm thinking the more expensive cards would be bottlenecked back to the 8500 even though their faster.

This is my computer as is and besdies the video card will be for the next year:

Sony VAIO PCV-RX650 - Windows XP Home Edition
Processor: 1.6 GHz Intel Pentium 4
System Bus Speed: 400 MHz
Video Card: ATI Radeon 8500LE 64MB
RAM: 512 MB
RAM Type: DDR DRAM
L2 Cache: 256 KB
CD-RW & DVD-ROM

I get bad frame rates playing all games with my setup.
The main games I run and their FPS: Halo(20),Quake3(75),SOF2(35)
and the 3Dmark 01' SE benchmark - 6894

If you have knowledge about vidcard upgrades, please spend a few minutes to help me out with some advice and insight.

 

spend 200$ on a 5900xt/9800pro and buy another 512 stick of ram since you wont be upgrading.

 

Do you know which 5900XT cards that have good fans and heatsinks for overclocking? I was looking though newegg.com but theres about 30 cards with all sorts of different cooling devices.

I dont got an eye (or brain) for picking out the best/worse constructed card...

If you want great overclocking ability & very good cooling without the noise of some video card fans, then you check out this card. I have read nothing but good about this card. I hope to have one myself real soon.
