Well this time it looks like I'm asking for help not giving it ... but I've almost got a new system up and running ... I've put a spart Video Card in here (im using it right now) temporarily while waiting for the actual one I'm going to use. I got a BSOD today (second day of running) a good old IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL ... at the moment my Video Card and Sound Card are right next to each other in PCI-E x1 and x16 slots ... that will be changing when I get the new Video Card but I ran test's anyway ... I'm using onboard LAN also. I ran BurnIn test, with all applicable tests active and at full ... the only error I received was two packets timed out on the Network test ... I ran a chkdsk /r ... nothing ... I ran a short CPU test ... all good ... I'm about to run a WD HDD Diagnostic ... and I ran in Windows version of memtest (I usually use the bootable but for some reason, It'd boot and then restart for no apparent reason 5 seconds into the test?) I got another BSOD as well ... not an IRQL this time an unspecified error ... I'm looking for possible solutions before pulling everything out and doing extensive testing ... any ideas?

THIS THREAD is the thread I made a week ago showing ppl my new system, it's got pics and its specs. Although the Caviar Black has been delayed so its N/A.

Just flashed my BIOS to the most recent version ... it was version 6 and is now version 14 ... it may have been my issue ...

Let's hope so. If still a problem, check for errors in Device Manager. I would disconnect all unnecessary drives, USB devices, and all but one stick of RAM and try again. Swap out RAM to test next stick. Make sure power supply is adequate, and working fine - you may have to swap in another for testing.

Well it seems to have ... every BSOD after has been from me playing around with settings or OCing ...

Well, I am not a fan of overclocking - what was once something done by experienced enthusiasts who understood something about electronics and cooling has today turned into a marketing scam by motherboard makers. :( JMHO.

    True but everyone starts somewhere

And abusing electronics by running them beyond published specifications is a proper starting point?

Lol that isn't what I meant ... although true Overclocking is an art in itself. Only a really skilled OCer can get real results. (Which I am not)
