I Have Some Vb Code I Saved ,tried To Edit Same But It Appears To Be Protected ,it Is Code I Have Written And Want To Edit And Have Not Protected Itto My Knowledge . Why ?

 

can you elaborate on how you're attempting to edit the code?
when I see Vb, I think V-Bulletin (aka, the forum software)
when I see VB, I think Visual Basic 6
when I see VB.NET well, that one is obvious.

Can you tell me out of the three above, which is it that you are using?

 

USING VB 6 WROTE CODE FOR SMALL PRG INTEROGATING A DBASE.COMPILED TO EXE WORKS OK RELOADED PROJECT TO IMPROVE AND EXPAND BUT CODE WILL NOT EDIT PROTECTED SOME WAY doug

 

well, it's kind of hard to figure out why that's happening , but my suggestion would be to start a new project and import those forms and see it that works for you.
