Verifying DMI pool

I have an acer am1100 model computer which came pre loaded with windows vista 32 bit oem home premium. It has amd dual core processor. I bought windows 7 home 64 bit and i have wiped the harddrive and am trying to install windows 7. It formats HDD and goes through install as if successfull and on boot i get verifying dmi pool update successfull and it stays with this text showing and black screen and goes no further just stays there with cursor flashing. Anyone have any ideas? Thanking you in advance for your assistance.

 

IiT CAN BE EASIER TO UPDATE TO wINDOWS 7, FROM WITHIN VISTA- IF THE FOLLOWING NOTES FROM MICROSOFT FORUM DOES NOT HELP, I REINSTALLED VISTA,(DON'T BOTHER WITH DRIVERS, ORM, RE ACTIVATING) AND THEN PUT W7 DISC IN, AND INSTALLED FROM THERE- WORKED FOR ME, MUCH EASIER.
