    Can anyone tell me something about Veritas? I am assuming I must have downloaded something from them at one time. Now, it asks me if I want to review products, but when I clicked on yes, it seems to go in a loop, opens new windows continuously. I end up having to shut down computer, by hand, and restarting.
    Has happened to me a few times, only if I click on to review their products. I am assuming I don't want to do this.lol

    Can I just ignore it, or is there something I need to get rid of?
    Any help is appreciated.

    I run Spybot and Ad-aware weekly. They have not picked it up. I am running Pest Patrol right now to see if it picks it up.
    Hopefully, I can get rid of it.

    I ran SpyBot S&D and ran Ad-aware.
    Now when I ran Pest Patrol shows 3 things

    Radlight-Trojan

    I don't know what to do? Can someone please help

    printer

    I am so frustrated, I could just cry. When I ran Regseeker, and deleted entries in there, I must have deleted the ones for my HP psc 2410 photosmart all-in-one printer.
    Luckily, (I thought) I made a backup before deletion. I put that whole think back in my computer, ran Regseeker, thinking I could uncheck the ones for my printer. Well, guess what? It wont let me. I have to select all (or can I change that)? Or should I just reinstall it?

    Thanks for any help. It is so appreciated. I really feel useless right now...lol

    I haven't downloaded it.
    I did run CWShredder and says my computer is clean.
    I tried using PestPatrol's instructions for removal of Veritas, but can't find any of the files they say to get rid of.

    Heh, you may be forgiven.. the search is a bit rubbish to tell the truth.. even if you know what youre looking for.

    Thats a nasty looking downloader there... I hope you have an outgoing firewall installed....

    That's a false positive from Pest Patrol, they need to work those bugs out :rolleyes:

    In addition to the previous advice, you may need to run HijackThis and post the log here. There are probably different flavors of Veritas.

    I am heading to bed for the night. 4:30 am comes too fast for me. I will check this in the morning when I get up.
    I did not fix anything as I am not sure what I am doing and didn't want to screw anything up.

    OK, now I can see that the Veritas you're referring to is not the spyware I had thought, but the Storage Guard update manager from Veritas Software. You can probably uninstall it from Control Panel Add/Remove if you want to.

    If you haven't updated Adaware and Spybot recently do that, they're constantly adding things to their def files.

    If you don't want Weatherbug (it's considered spyware) uninstall from Add/Remove if it's there and fix this:

    Good morning all......
    Veritas does not show up on my add/remove programs.
    I fixed the lines on my hijack log.
    Tried to find how to remove kontiki, but did not find any lines at all to remove

    For Veritas look for it in your Start > All Programs menu and see if you can uninstall it from there.
    Or you can pevent the Update Manager from starting every boot (if that's what you want) by fixing this line:
