Verizon Webmail - Failure to display pictures

Hi guys,
Hoping someone can help me out here...

I have a client who is having an issue using Verizon Webmail. She receives a number of HTML email messages from others which contain pictures, graphics, etc. However, when she opens some of them, the pictures do not display, but rather the placeholders where the images should be. This only occurs sometimes, and not always, and not always from the same recipients.

When I check the properties for the individual image placeholders, I see the notation "missing" for each placeholder. Any idea what this is about?

I suspect it has to do with the sender of the email, and their email client not attaching the image to the message. I did try to convince this client to utilize Outlook as their email client due to some issues I know exist with Webmail, but she does not wish to do this.

Any ideas or suggestions would be welcome, as always.
