very big problem... cant acess...

I have a very big problem...

i have a windows XP (pro) and in my acount i cant acess my documents, my computer, recycle bin, Control Panel, IE.. (im in Firefox right now)... etc...

my moms acount works fine... my dad one is the same has mine (and he never goes to the PC!... i tryed to create new acounts for us... but they still dont let me acess this important stuff... is this a virus?? strange thing is... this is hapening since i uninstaled a program style XP (i was only trying it out)... i dont have an anti virus... just a firewall... sorry about the grammer... English is not my first language...

 

maybe U just don't have the permission to to creat, edit or change setting.. do U have admin account? do U have 2 Os on U'r computer? do U have the SP2 install on U'r os?

 

what happens if your mom creates a new account ?

I think you rights to access has been taken away on portions of C-Drive.

Start-Control Panel-Administrative tools-Computer Management-Local Users and groups.....To which group are you coupled now.

Or go to parts of C-Drive you cannot access, rightclick Sharing & Security, see if your username is allowed access to that folder......

 

i cant acess nothing... when i click "my computer" all icons disapear, then they come back... but nothing really happens...

 

When i make an acount at my moms... it will not work either...

i can acess my documents.... nothing...

Do you use PPfile sharing? Kazza or use any music shareware? The reason why I asked, is that my son did, he had the same problem you did. All users of this computer had no problem, but he did. After deleting the music shareware program, problem was solved.
