very important scam info!

Has anyone else received a bill from "National One Telecom"?
We received this bill yesterday 8/16/04 saying we owed for an overdue bill.
It is a pay-per-view website??? It had our name and add. but the phone # they were saying was ours was wrong. It said we made a connection to the UK. for 21 min. and 5 min. The bill is for $108.00
I looked up "national one" on the internet and there are a whole bunch of complaints about them. It is a scam, don't pay it. There is no phone # to call, and their webpage has something you have to download (which I didn't do).
The complaint pages (Tech support guy forum) says to report it to the better bus beauro and the FTC. I am going to send them a letter telling them I reported them. Let me know if anyone else has received these.
ALSO... I am new to the boards, so, HI! I love this site, it has helped me out of a bunch of jambs! I just decided to join.

Welcome to Major Geeks. Can you let us have the UK details? We can maybe get them stamped on at this end. We may have a 'semi - socialist' country but that means we have good Regulation, (sometimes) . OFTEL tends to frown at that sort of crap.

 

All it says on my bill is
LD call made to +44 870 119 01 - United Kingdom
If you look on Google under "National One Telecom" the very first site listed is
(I think) Tech support guys, there is a whole lot of info there. Pages and pages of complaints.
But it seems like everyone is saying all there bills say calls to the UK.
