I have no answers for you; I just wanted to say that I stopped using Autopatcher for similar reasons. Non supported versions using the autopatcher name were being released by various (questionable IMO) sources and I couldn't sort out what was 'legit', and what wasn't, so I dumped it altogether. However- the 'official' Autopatcher releases are EXCELLENT and allow the user to select what is installed, and I recommend the 'official' Autopatch releases. I just stopped using 'em because of the confusion and the misuse of the Autopatcher name....
