    Hello every one
I have just purchased a USB to USB file transfer cable to transfer data between two computers. When I plug in the cable the hardware wizard comes up, so I start to go through the wizard, then it asks to put the disk in that came with the cable, I do this but it dose not find what it is looking for.
I have also purchased a copy of lap link and this dose not work either

Please can some explain what I should be doing as this Is the first time I have ever tried to work with two computers together, I think I am making a complete mess of it at the moment

    Thank you

    Regards

Usually, the USB bridge cable must have the bridging software installed on both computers before you attach the cable. Some USB link software gives you an option of installing a simple link for file sharing, or a network link which allows both file sharing and internet/intranet sharing. I prefer the latter, because it offers more choices. Then after all the cable-link software has been loaded, ( on both machines) then and only then, hook up the USB-USB bridge. Then Windows will be able to find the hardware drivers.:)
