Can't figure out how to fix very slow computer. Ran Ad-Aware, SpyBot, Registry Mechanic and cleaned out temp files. Don't know what else to do. Any ideas?

System Idle does not use the CPU. What it is showing, is the amount of CPU available to be used.

Need some more info . . . did the computer just recently become slow? Also, what operating system are you using? Can you give us some system specs, like how much RAM your PC has, processor, etc? If you aren't sure what your specs are, try downloading and installing Everest right here (as long as you are running some form of Microsoft Windows):

It can tell you all kinds of info about your computer. Let us know.

I have 2GB RAM, AMD 64x2 Duo Core 4200+ 100Mhz computer. It just recently started slowing. Can't figure out why. Ran AdAware, SpyBot, Avast Anti Virus, and Registry Mechanic. Out of ideas now.
