XP Home SP3 - Everything on this PC runs fine except for the shutdown/restart routine. Right when I select "Shutdown", everything proceeds normally until all that's left is the background wallpaper and the mouse pointer. From there it takes about 5-6 minutes for the PC to completely shut down, maybe longer. I can move the mouse around during this time, but no clicking does anything, CTRL+ALT+DEL does nothing, etc. There are no strange entries in the Event Viewer either. I ran chkdsk, I've reloaded most of the drivers.... any ideas?

(I'm running a HD diagnostic right now, but I'm pretty sure the HD is OK 'cuz the PC runs fine overall)
