Very Slow Startup

Hi guys,

I already posted about this in malware forum and TimW told me I was malware free.

I timed my startup to be 15 minutes, like clockwork.

Any help to reduce this back to about a minute?

This has allthe tools you need, and the free version is pretty safe to use.- It can clean the registry, ndfind lots of things that cause the slowdown, one of which is the startup monitor. You can also download their uninstaller, in case of any left over fragments from the programs you have uninstalled -and , if you wish their defragment program which is better than windows own-all free versions.

 

malwarebytes is flagging this program as a PUP

 

Ignore it.
Malwarebytes and IObit have a history.

 

Ignore it- or, allow it as safe -I have used it for years.

 

Now MS Word keeps launching on startup, about 3 to 5 separate documents and in one of them is a notice saying
Word cannot open the existing file.
(Normal.dotm)

 

In advanced system care click toolbox, click startup manager- you should be able to stop it there

Incidentally, using Advanced System Care, my boot time is 34 seconds

 

Update, I managed to get my reboot time down to 50 seconds using Microsoft's Reinstall tool.
