I think you should open this question again in Majorgeeks Driver Forum here. They know all about it down there.

Also: Some quotes from this article from Microsoft but you'll need more information, I guess:

To access Device Manager, use any of the following methods: • Click Start, click Run, and then type devmgmt.msc.
    • Right-click My Computer, click Manage, and then click Device Manager.
    • Right-click My Computer, click Properties, click the Hardware tab, and then click Device Manager.
    • Type the following command at a command prompt:
    start devmgmt.msc

    And

How to install a new driver from Device Manager

    1. Double-click the type of device you want to update or change.
    2. Right-click the specific device driver you want to update or change.
    3. Click Update Driver to open the Hardware Update Wizard. Follow the wizard instructions.

Which version of ZoomText are we talking about? I'm searching their homepage and they have some information about drivers. A lot actually.

You need to make sure that your program is updated. Have you checked that? :)

I'm not familiar with the program but as I understand the text on the programs homepage and it's support Forums a Driver Chaining Manager should be installed with the ZoomText program itself. Could you look inside it and check it's menu toolbar for that manager?

This Driver Chaining Manager I just mentioned is probably not going to do the trick. Frankly, I don't think there is any way but the hard way as you called it in your first post. The error message in the screenshot said that you need to change your settings via Hardware Update Wizard so that you can use the driver that came with your display adaptor. And when that is done you need to reinstall ZoomText all over again.

    I'm sorry. :)

    Re: VGA Driver issue

seems to me that your either using the windows default driver for your V-card or you dont have a compatible driver. i suggest looking for a list of supported drivers and/or updating your current driver to solve the issue.

    Re: VGA Driver issue

just been looking around and they do have support forums, if you cant sort your issue, i highly suggest trying there as they can offer better support for this program.

thats not the hard way i ment, the site guide i found was talking about rebooting into safemode.....

anyways, one thing i forgot to mention is, my laptop is 15.4W

but the laptop is currrently hooked to a 17" flat (not wide)

i dunno if that is important or not

How are you doing? :-D The screen settings you mention above does matter, I believe - 15.4" vs. 17". The screen in use must be configured to display ZoomText correctly. We need some skilled hardware and drivers folks in here... :-D

You will need to install the driver for the 17" monitor on to your laptop.
What is the brand and model # of the Monitor?

well, ZT didnt work on the laptop before i hooked up the monitor either, gave the same error, i had hoped it was due to WS and the 17" would rectigy it

what about using a program like driver magician?
