vga to dvi-i

    hello all.wondered if anyone can explain this to me(apologies if posted in wrong place)i have been given a lcd t.v which has a dvi-i input.My computer is quite old and only has the standard vga output(i think its called that anyhow :-o) iv been looking around and am quite confused (thats not hard if you know me)..so basicly can i connect my computer to this t.v?and if this is possible what would be needed and what would i ask the p.c shop for?many thanks for reading and any help anyone can give..thanks take care all ;)

    You should be able to get an adapter or cable to suit your needs... you'll need something like this cable. It will have to be VGA-Male on one end (to plug in to the PC/video card), and DVI-Male on the other end, but the DVI end of the cable will depend on if the LCD has a female or male port; most will have female ports.

    :)thanks for that ..ive just looked at the dvi socket on the t.v and it has holes not pins... so thats a female socket ..(all the jokes are gone for that now i spose ..thanks for the help it means a lot ..sorta know what im doin now..take care :)
