VHS to CD

    Hi, i was just wondering how i would go about copying a vhs to cd/computer, my mums got some old VHS tapes(oh the good old days), holiday videos etc.. and she asked me if i could copy them to the computer..

    what hardware/software would i need ?

    You need a video capture card. Or a card with VIVO. If you don't have VIVO (video in/video out) then the cheapest wya to go is get a video capture card. There start around 50$.

    Once you've got the HW all you do is plug the VCR into the capture card, then you press play on the VCR and record on the TV. You'll have to transfer it like this, in real time only. Otherwise you require some really EXPENSIVE HW (thousands of dollars most likely) to do it.
