Can anyone advise which is the better option. I have a laptop and I wish to convert vhs/video tapes to dvd's by copying the video to my laptop and then converting to dvd. I have worked out how to do this part. I presently have a tv tuner box but the picture quality I am getting is quite poor (nowhere near the quality of the video when played on the vcr through the tv). I am wondering if a PCMCIA Card is a better option or should I look for a tuner box that will give a better quality. Does anyone know of either that does capture at good quality. Thanks is advance.

    Hope This Helps!

I never had much luck with the Dazzle 90, I even bought up grades, but was luckey enough to be able to return them. They were not much of an improvement. Out of synk recordings.

The best way is to use a digital camcorder that has the capability of video in.(most do) You plug your VCR into your camera and camera into your computer via Firewire. Now your laptop must have a Firewire capture card. If you need more info let me know. Good Luck
