VIA S3G Unichrome IGP

    Hi all,
    My wife's computer is driving me nuts! HP Pavilion w/VIA S3G Unichrome IGP video adapter. All was working fine but now several of her games (Chuzzle, Luxor 3, Zulu Gems, etc) no longer display anything. Some of the others, like Peggle still work fine. I can hear the sound but no video. I've updated the video driver and DirectX. When I ran the DirectX diagnostic, it failed the large bouncing box test. I don't know what to try next. She only uses the computer for kid games and email. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!

    Maybe a new driver install could help you.

    Hi

    Yes armed with your model version of HP computer pop to HP support and drivers and re-download and install the graphic card driver.

    Which Windows version and is it upto date with all updates?

    Also are these games online ones of run from an installed game on the PC? if online ones then what browser you using? its possible that Adobe Flash and Java need updating.

    Hi All,
    The model is an HP Pavillion 720n. I have updated the video driver from HP. The games are ones she downloaded so they are on the computer. The first game that would not work was "Zulu Gems". Just get a blank screen. After that tried to run some of her favorites like "Chuzzle" and "Bejeweled 2" and they also NOW fail with a blank screen. She's using WinXP and it is up to Service Pack 3.
