Vid card issue??

Just recently I purchased a 1Tb seagate Hdd. Plugged it in and no i am dealing with one very strange problem.... Come to find out this new drive is one of a slew bad drives coming out of seagate.... That is getting rma'd. Here is the kicker tho since having this drive hooked up I have been experiencing so very strange problems.. First off I am running MSI. K8 neo3 platinum mobo,,,,fx-55,,,2gigs Kingston hyper x,,,,,,And a 250 gig main Hdd. Was on a 550w x-connect 2 psu(tested found out to be dying) And an His x1650pro agp card. Since the drive issue for some reason it will not boot with this card??? It will however boot and run almost flawless with an fx-5200 msi card plugged in. with the His card the d-panel on back shows it hanging at processor initialization. Beyond this when i use the 5200 error reports are showing a ram fault code 10000050.. I am stumped. 3 problems and from what i can tell no link between them.... Right now the machine is up and running on the 5200 card. I need a little gpu power back and no more bsod's.......:majorcry
