Video Card bios and Clocking

Nvidia Gforce 7600gt video cards, I have two running SLI. one of them quit after a year or so and I bought another to replace the one.
The bios info on one card is "5.73.22.39.03" And the other is "5.73.22.51.45", notice the last two groups are different? Should they be the same, and if so, How do you update bios on a video card?
The other part of my question is,
my card says it will run at
Core Clock 560MHz
Effective Memory Clock 1400MHz
I actually run core at 570, but never tried taking the memory to 1400, 800 is as for as I have went. Is it possible for it to run at 1400?

are the cards from the same manufacturer? some provide bios updates, and you might be able to get it from them.

as for overclocking, it's possible with a software utility like evga precision. I'm sure there are others, but this is the only one I know of. It uses Riva tuner, so I'm guessing you can use that as well.

Yes, the cards are surely the same, except for bios. I am using evga precision and if you look at pictures attached, card one reads different than card two with both set at default settings.

 

huh...I'm not familiar much with sli ,but i say if its working fine, then so be it. as far as overclocking, it's much better when using software, because it can always be reset. so go ahead and try it. Do it incrementally to check your limits.

 

The reason they read different is that you have them running independently (the link is off)

 

I can not get the "link" to activate. I can select the "sync" but not the "Link". hmmmm!
