Video Card & Bios?

Howdy. New here. Got 2 problems.
#1- P.C. wouldn't boot past logon screen.
#2- In bios I switched to internal video. There is none as I have video card.
Now monitor will not work.
Plus P.C. would not boot in safemode prior to monitor problem.
Any suggestions?

Surely this is problem #1?

Does this mean you have both a pci/AGP card and onboard graphics?
Did you remove the AGP card before connecting to the onboard?
If not try this first.

If this doesn't help, remove the battery for 10 minutes, replace and try again with both the onboard and agp.

With luck the bios defaults will allow one to work.

post again when you have the video going and we can work on the second problem.

Now on to the next concern.
P.C. will go to boot screen and freeze before the logon screen.
Any suggestions.

Post the exact message on the screen where it 'freezes'

A camera shot is good.

I am trying to distinguish whether Windows (version?) is starting at all.

Is the hard drive recognised in the BIOS?

 

Sorry, was on the road past few days.
Studiot, I ended up doing a fresh install.
Any more trouble and I'll be asking here.
