OK so the problem is I tried to install the latest nVIDIA drivers for my 6800 on windows sp2 but after i do it it works fine...until I shut down then when I next boot up it's uninstalled and it's gone back to the driver I had before. This means I have to go through reinstalling it again each time I shut down just so that I can play the BF2 demo. If anyone can help please do. I'll give more info on pc if needed.

No it is the latest driver off of the nVIDIA site and it is also the correct one. I think it may still be a bad driver though as it does not work on my brother's PC but either way I still can't play the BF2 demo :(

I used the add/remove programs feature but still it manages to come back I really don't know how. I may try reformatting there's a load of crap on my current install anyway :p oooh and I'll try the other driver you suggested.

OK so that driver didn't work either so I'll reformat my PC this weekend unless someone comes up with something that works.

works just fine for me...anyway...start in safe mode, uninstall your drivers completely. start in normal mode, install...that should fix it...ive had the same problem

A.Son and Russian Master thanks very much :D Those drivers and the safe mode method together worked very nicely indeed so I think I'll be getting Battlefield 2 now as soon as it's out.

    Again :) :) :) THANKYOU :) :) :)
